Enterprise Metadata Management

The Enterprise Metadata Management software contains libraries, servers, and web applications that support distributed metadata management. It includes features to track, query, update, and maintain:

  • Metadata definitions
  • Metadata schemata
  • Resource profiles

Metadata Components

The following components currently comprise Enterprise Metadata Management:

  • Metadata Service

    The Metadata Service provides registration, retrieval, of metadata elements, metadata schemata, and metadata profiles of resources.

  • Metadata Web App

    This is the J2EE-compliant web application that provides a user interface to the Metadata Service.
