ERNE Product Server for Mac OS X

The Early Detection Research Network (EDRN) Resource Network Exchange (ERNE) uses the OODT Data Grid Framework 's product servers to support search and retrieval of specimen data. Queries from the central node run at each product server at participating nodes in real time. The Mac OS X Product Server is for participating nodes running Mac OS X on PowerPC hardware and takes advantage of the Mac OS X platform to run with Apple's advanced Java environment and Mach services.

Installation

To install the Product Server for Mac OS X, download the compressed installation package from the EDRN secure web site, uncompress it, and double-click its icon. Follow the on-screen prompts. The installer will set up and start the product server.

Your system will need to be accessible on the public Internet, and any firewall protecing your system must allow traffic listed below:
