ERNE Product Server for Windows

The EDRN Resource Network Exchange (ERNE) uses the OODT grid framework's product server for the exchange of specimen biomarkers. This is the product server that provides real-time access to sites' specific specimen databases, and is specifically for sites running 32-bit Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003 on i386 hardware.

Installing the ERNE Product Server

To install the server on Windows, follows these instructions.

  1. Download the installer from the download page . Note that an EDRN login/password is required to access the download page.
  2. Start the installer, and then click Next:
  3. Read the license agreement, and then click I Agree:
  4. Choose a location to install the server (or use the default) and click Install:
  5. After the files are installed, click Finish:
  6. Open your Control Panel, and double-click on Administrative Tools:
  7. Double click on Services:
  8. Click on ERNE Server in the list of services, then click Start:

The ERNE server is now running and ready to answer queries for specimens.
