PDS-D Web Grid Product ServerThe Planetary Data System uses the OODT grid framework's product server for the exchange of planetary data products. Product Servers run at each discipline node and handle requests for data, converting them as needed or providing labels and other information. This version of the PDS Product Server uses the web-based grid framework: there is no central name registry anymore, no need for PDS data nodes to make connections to the engineering node, and product data are carried over simple and efficient HTTP. Installing the PDS-D Web Grid Product ServerIf you already have a web application server that supports the Sun J2EE 2.3 (or later) Serlvet Specification, you can use the PDS-D Web Grid Product Server directly. Just follow the installation instructions .
